Terms of sale
1. Scope
These Terms of Sale govern the sale of products by CHESS LABS LIMITED, company number [[COMPANY_NUMBER]], registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom, to any customer purchasing through the Wood & Wit store. They apply in addition to our Terms of Service.
2. Placing an order
You select your items, check your basket and confirm your order at checkout. Confirming the order implies acceptance of these Terms of Sale, of the price shown and of the total amount payable. The sale is concluded when we send you the order confirmation email.
3. Prices, taxes and import charges
Prices are displayed in the currency selected on the store. Any duties, import taxes or customs handling fees applied by the destination country are payable by you and are not included in the checkout total.
We may change our prices at any time. The price applied to your order is the one displayed at the moment you confirm it.
4. Payment
Payment is due in full at the time of the order, using one of the payment methods offered at checkout. Transactions are secured by our payment providers; we never store your card details.
In the event of non-payment, or of a payment reversed after dispatch, we reserve the right to suspend delivery and to recover the goods or their value.
5. Transfer of risk
Risk in the goods passes to you when the goods are delivered to the address you gave us. Ownership passes once we have received payment in full.
6. Delivery
Orders are dispatched within a maximum of 10 business days from confirmation of payment, with an estimated delivery time of 6 to 12 business days from dispatch. Shipping is free. Full details are in our Shipping Policy.
7. Cancellation and returns
Your cancellation rights and our 30-day satisfaction guarantee are set out in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. Return shipping costs are payable by you.
8. Warranty
Products are covered by the statutory guarantees of your country of residence. Digital chess clocks additionally carry a 10-year commercial warranty against manufacturing defects, as described in our Terms of Service.
9. Force majeure
CHESS LABS LIMITED is not liable for any failure to perform caused by an event beyond its reasonable control, including natural disaster, industrial action, carrier failure, customs delay or interruption of communications networks.
10. Governing law
These Terms of Sale are governed by the law of England and Wales, without depriving a consumer of the protection of the mandatory rules of the law of their country of residence.
